Golf Lessons at Affordable Golf in Glasgow and East Kilbride

After investing in FlightScope, the state of the art golf training facility in East Kilbride we have employed our own PGA  teaching professional Andrew MacPherson  who specialises in teaching all standards of golfers. Andrew is very easy going and has a great manner which makes beginner and average golfers feel very relaxed during a lesson. As this is an indoor facility we are not affected with the usual UK winter conditions like many driving ranges. We are finding more and more golfers are booking lessons in the winter months so they can practice the issues they have been having throughout the season and be ready for next season.

In May 2010 Andrew MacPherson  joined Affordable Golf where he will be giving golf lessons at their newly installed top of the range indoor training facility. He will also be posting monthly blogs and tips for game improvements.

Andrew MacPherson PGA Pro

I have been a PGA Golf Professional since 1990, after training at Crieff Golf Club in the heart of Scotland.

After successful years at Crieff Golf club I then became Head Teaching Professional at Melville Golf Centre, Edinburgh and subsequently held other teaching professional posts at Normandy Golf Range, Johnstone Driving Range and the prestigious Bob Torrance School of Golf in Largs, where various top European PGA tour pros go, and some of the country's top upcoming amateurs.

I have a proven record and am skilled in coaching all abilities, and in 2009 coached the ladies Amateur Scottish Champion. I have also coached with Dennis Pugh and Pete Cowan.

In May 2010 I joined Affordable Golf where I will be giving golf lessons at their newly installed top of the range indoor training facility.

"Thanks very much for the lesson as it certainly showed that by videoing my swing, I still have a bit of work to do. Nevertheless, your lesson did pay dividends as I went out the next Saturday and won the second class Monthly Medal, hereby reducing my handicap by 1.2 down to 14.5. So thanks very much for that.

The secret now obviously its to take all of your tips on board every week, and try to be a bit more consistent with my set up for both tee shots and iron play.

"Further to me and my sons golf lesson on Monday 18th July I would would just like to say that we both thoroughly enjoyed it and there was two main reasons for this, from the very start we were both put at ease and felt very relaxed with the informal way of coaching and secondly Andy has a an excellent way of getting his point over and explaining things through his various 'gadgets' which helped big time, the proof of the pudding was that when my wife came home she found Ross and I out the back garden barefooted and throwing a small football to each other.
